Pastor Mike Ray

Mike Ray is the pastor of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Napa, California. He began preaching at the age of fifteen. After graduating from college, he served as Dr. Bob Buchanan’s youth pastor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for seven years.

More than twenty years ago, God brought him to California to take the pastorate of a church on the brink of closure in Napa, California. Our Lord has used he and his wife, Verna, to revive this work and see monumental results for His glory.

Bro. Ray has made a great personal sacrifice in order to invest in the lives of our college students. Every year, since the college opened, Bro. Ray has traveled hundreds of miles each Tuesday to teach in our college. He teaches Personal Evangelism, Biblical Counseling, and Youth Work.
